We've all seen them in various guises online ... those cheap-looking ads that promise "one weird trick" to do something that most people find difficult or challenging.
I'm not here today to give you one weird trick to lose weight, or one weird trick to become a successful movie start - but I am going to share one weird (and simple) trick to potentially boost your success with Google Ads and other PPC platforms.
The trick I refer to is experimenting with capital case in your ad headlines and text.
Many people will create Google Ads like this:
- Headline: Digital marketing consultant
- Body: I help you to grow your business online. Call now for free consultation
After all, that is how we are taught to write, right?
However, capital case (or camel case as some people call it) is a simple tweak that can result in significantly improved performance.
In this example, our aforementioned ad copy would read as follows:
- Headline: Digital Marketing Consultant
- Body: I Help You To Grow Your Business Online. Call Now For Free Consultation
It doesn't always work this way, but more often than not (at least in my experience) capital case seems to boost click through rates, thus lifting the overall performance of your Google Ads.
If you haven't tested capital/camel case versions of your current top-performing ad copies, then I suggest you give it a go.
